For those of you who don’t know the back story, our amazing South East Asia specialist, Mark Wright, has been on a sabbatical with a difference over the last 6 months: The Wright Way East. He set himself a challenge to solo cycle from London to Hong Kong to raise money for Breast Cancer Care and we are beyond thrilled and proud to announce that he has now completed his mission! He arrived at the Peak in Hong Kong on time and in one piece where his family and friends had gathered to celebrate his monumental feat. Mark was interviewed by Time Out Hong Kong just after passing the finishing line – read the article here.

To quote Mark quoting Mohammed Ali,

Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they’ve been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It’s an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It’s a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.

Some stats about Mark’s epic journey:

  • 16,531km cycled
  • 19 countries
  • 180 days exactly from 14th April – 11th October 2012
  • Many punctures
  • £14,441 raised for Breast Cancer Care so far

Please help to congratulate Mark and support his charity by donating anything you can to his Breast Cancer Care fundraising page.

Well done Mark, we cannot wait to have you back!
